Two things go wrong when you sleep on your side with an ordinary pillow: your head sinks so your neck bends, and your lower shoulder jams under you while the upper one sags. The Side Dreamer is shaped for that position, with enough loft to keep the neck straight and a contour that lets the shoulder tuck in below it.
