Choosing a stroller is a big decision, and takes a lot of researching. With so many choices out there, it can get overwhelming. If you follow our instructions, you’ll end up with a stroller fitted to your specific needs.

The terrain

If you’ll be strolling on bumpy roads, the stroller has to have good wheels like Jogger strollers have. For crowded city sidewalks you’ll need good, but not so big wheels, because you need to easily weave in and out crowds. For spacious neighborhoods that have, any wheels will do.

Cars and stairs

Think carefully if you want a stroller that fits one kind of car seat, or a universal one. If you have to load and unload the stroller from a car often, or you have to carry it up and down stairs, have in mind that strollers can get heavy, so make sure you can carry it with your child inside. You’ll need a stroller that breaks down and pops up easily, especially if you are planning to drive/use stairs alone with your baby. Snap and Go type strollers are light and easy to use, and also practical for not having to wake your child when putting them in and out of the stroller from your car.

Height, width and color

If you want a stroller for a newborn, choose one with a bassinet or an adapter for car seat. If there is a big difference between you and your partner’s height, choose a stroller with adjustable handles. If the stroller doesn’t have removable seats; therefore you can’t get it out and clean it properly, go for a darker color.

Accessories

Choosing accessories for the stroller depends on your needs. It is very important to have a large basket underneath the stroller for storage where you can keep your cute diaper bags full of baby blankets, newborn boy clothes or newborn girl clothes. You can add cup holders and snack trays. It is practical to have rain covers and foot muffs. The shade a stroller provides is really important. If your stroller doesn’t have a big canopy, you’ll be forced to drape a blanket over the top of the canopy to get the sun out of your child’s eyes.

Number of strollers

Most of parents choose more strollers for different purposes and ages. They use a snap and go strollers for babies a jogger stroller for walks and a lightweight stroller with umbrella for longer trips.

It is almost impossible to have the perfect stroller, but you can come close to perfection if it fits your basic needs.
